BIO

MARCUS ALLEN

A number of things have shaped me into the person I am today, but a few stand out. A desire to be the best at what I do has always been a part of my DNA.

Whether it is basketball, academics, or a trivial activity, I always strive to be the best at what I do. With that said, I love the process of working to improve and achieve my goals. The time one allocates towards the goal is paramount in development. My desire, dedication and self-motivation was cultivated by the people surrounding me. Both my parents epitomize this drive and motivation to be their individual best. Not only would they speak of this, but also they would live by it. From watching my mother balance pediatrics and dominate fitness competitions to watching my father be a successful leader in the medical field, I acquired the necessary tools to achieve my goals and dreams.

This motivation will be with me for the rest of my life and will carry over to other facets of my life as well. I was born on September 14, 1994 in Phoenix, Arizona. I am a fraternal twin and my brother’s name is Malcolm Allen. I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada and attended Centennial High School where I was co-valedictorian with Malcolm. We were co-captains of our high school basketball team and now we are teammates on Stanford Men’s Basketball Team. We are pursuing a degree in psychology.
